Controlling a classroom full of 12 year olds is hard
Especially when they have absolutely no reason to listen to you and know you can’t punish them if they don’t.

Aww. I am sympathtic.
My advice… seem cool. Let them get away with some dumb stuff and talk to them like you think they are adults. Make some bad joke about Hannah Montana or something. But don’t insult the Jonas Brothers or Twilight.
This all comes from observing my 12 year old cousin by the way. She claims to be bi, to hate all female Disney channel starts, and to be married to Joe Jonas.
